In 2025, nearly 25,000 passengers with reduced mobility received assistance at Gorky Railway stations.

      In January–October 2025, nearly 25,000 passengers with reduced mobility received specialized assistance at the station complexes of the Gorky Railway, the Gorky Railway press service reports. Compared with the same period in 2024, the number of requests increased by 8%.

      Most accompaniment requests came from passengers at major stations. Leading is Nizhny Novgorod, where assistance was required by 5,600 passengers. Next are Kirov (4,200 requests), Kazan (2,800) and Izhevsk (2,000).

      Employees of the Mobility Assistance Center of JSC Russian Railways (RZD) help passengers with reduced mobility to obtain travel documents, accompany them through the station, and assist with boarding trains. If necessary, they provide a wheelchair or a stretcher for bedridden passengers, and also help with luggage. All services are provided free of charge.
