
Six residents of Kirov Oblast were detained for financing an extremist organization.
In the Kirov Region, officers of the FSB Directorate, together with the regional directorate of the Ministry of Internal Affairs (UMVD), detained six local residents who were financing a banned extremist organization.
According to operatives, the Kirov residents acted under the influence of an opposition ideology and transferred funds intended to support the organization's activities.
The investigative bodies of the FSB Directorate and the Investigative Department of the Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation for the Kirov Region have opened criminal cases under Article 282.3 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (Financing of extremist activity).
Such an offense carries a penalty of up to eight years' imprisonment.
