On the main stage of the event the best employees of the city's enterprises were honored. Governor of Kirov Oblast Alexander Sokolov presented a letter of appreciation to Nikolay Plyusnin, an ammonia synthesis operator at the branch, for his significant contribution to the development of the region's chemical industry.
With the support of the KChHK branch, a team judo tournament in memory of Denis Pletnev was also held on City Day. Nine teams from Kirov Oblast, Perm Krai and the Chuvash Republic took part.
A memorial plaque to Boris Konstantinov, whose name the Kirovo-Chepetsk Chemical Plant bore, was unveiled.
Yuri Shulga, director of the Kirovo-Chepetsk Chemical Plant branch of JSC OHK "Uralchem":
"Uralchem continues the proud traditions laid down at the plant and honors the memory of those who were at its origins. It is fitting that we are unveiling the memorial plaque on Kirovo-Chepetsk's anniversary.
