Between June 1 and August 31 this year, nearly 12 million passengers departed from the stations of the Gorky Railway on long-distance and suburban trains, the press service of the Kirov region of the Gorky Railway reported.
About 9 million passengers used suburban trains, and almost 3 million were carried on long-distance trains — 0.6% more than in the same period last year.
According to the Kirov region of the Gorky Railway, the most popular routes with passengers were trains running between Moscow and Nizhny Novgorod (425,000 passengers), Moscow and Kazan (23,400), Moscow and Kirov (21,500), and from Kirov toward Nizhny Novgorod (42,000 passengers).
