Rakhim Azimov will help create the "Alley of Glory" in Vakhrushi.

      The idea was first discussed back in February of this year at a meeting between the parliamentarian and the head of the Slobodskoy District, Alexander Kostylev. At that time the State Duma deputy supported the project and secured the attraction of extrabudgetary funds for the development of project documentation. Subsequently, the deputy’s assistants, together with active citizens, refined the concept.

      During a reception with district residents, Rakhim Azimov, Alexander Kostylev and the head of the Vakhrushevskoye Settlement, Mikhail Yefremov, agreed to begin implementing the project.

      The project provides for the creation of a memorial zone and the improvement of the area around the city stadium; walking paths and a children’s playground will be created. Preparatory work will begin this year, with funding provided from extrabudgetary sources and the local budget. More than 2 million in extrabudgetary funds have already been allocated for the implementation of priority measures.

      Rakhim Azimov noted: “I am confident that together we will create a modern public space filled with meaning, memory and patriotic spirit.”

      The head of the Slobodskoy District, Alexander Kostylev, stressed: “This is a significant project for our district. The alley will become a place of remembrance and respect for the feats of our fellow countrymen, a newly improved space for residents. I thank Rakhim Azizboevich for his attention to the residents’ initiatives and for the support he provides to the Slobodskoy District.”
