As reported by the Directorate for Urban Improvement, specialists recently completed work on Nikitskaya Street near the A. S. Grin Museum. Previously this stretch became impassable during heavy rains because the sidewalk level was lower than the roadway and the adjacent residential grounds. Drainage channels were installed and the pedestrian area was reconfigured. After the recent rains no flooding has been recorded at the problem site. The directorate reminded that similar work is carried out every year. For example, flooding was eliminated on Lenin Street between Herzen and Albert Likhanov streets. This year a stormwater drainage system will also be installed on the approaches to Vladimirskaya and Profsoyuznaya streets, as well as on Orlovskaya and Albert Likhanov streets. The sections have already been inspected and technical solutions have been adopted.
