A resident of Kirovo-Chepetsk lost one and a half million rubles, believing the promises of a stranger
A 35-year-old resident of Kirovo-Chepetsk lost 1 million 464 thousand rubles, becoming a victim of remote fraud. Believing a stranger who promised to help him earn income through an online exchange, the man followed the instructions, investing his savings and credit funds.
A few weeks ago, a chepchanin started communicating in a messenger with an unknown person who offered an easy way to earn money. The victim registered on the website of the online exchange, replenished the checking account with transfers using the specified banking details and followed the advice on buying and selling shares and cryptocurrencies. As a result, the man invested all available funds in "stock trading", hoping for a profit. However, he failed to return the invested money or receive the promised income.
Currently, a criminal case has been opened into fraud. The police remind that criminals take advantage of people's desire to improve their financial situation. It is impossible to earn a large income effortlessly by following someone else's instructions exclusively. Citizens are urged not to transfer money to strangers promising quick and easy earnings.
