"Olympia" fought with Muscovites
The start of the game turned out to be successful for the visiting team. Already in the 8th minute, Zakhar Polshakov sent the puck into the corner of the Unison goal, opening the scoring in the meeting. For the striker, this is the first goal of the VHL season. There was also a fight in the first period. The conflict occurred in the middle of the period between Unison striker Daniil Skorikov and Olympia defender Vladimir Sychushkin, both players were penalized with a five-minute penalty for a scuffle.
The second period began with the pressure of the stadium owners. HC Unison-Moscow launched another attack in the 26th minute, in which Zakhar Khvostov scored a goal against Olimpia. The score was 1-1. For Zakhar, this puck was also the first in the VHL.
Despite the pressure from the Kirovo-Chepetsk team, it did not work out to throw the puck into the goal of the Muscovites in the second period. And at the end of the period, a player from the Moscow team, Tsyganov, sent the puck straight into the white-red goal.In the third segment of the match, the teams failed to realize their attacks. The match ended with a score of 2:1 in favor of the stadium owners.
"There are no complaints about the guys. We played a good match. I think we were stronger in all the components, except for one thing – the implementation of the moments. For two periods, we definitely had full control of the initiative. My performance skills let me down. These are our problems. There will be big changes next season. I didn't have enough luck somewhere, but I need to earn it through hard work. Apparently, they did something wrong," said Yuri Kultynov, head coach of HC Olimpiya.
The Kirovo-Chepetsk team has its last match against Zvezda from Moscow, which is one of the top ten teams in the VHL and takes 9th place.
