During the time of the Velikoretsky cross procession, three sections of federal highways will be closed.

      According to the regional government, road closures are planned in the following areas:

      June 3 from 16:00 to 19:00 — on the R-243 highway (Kostroma — Perm);

      June 5 from 03:00 to 05:30 — on the R-176 highway (Cheboksary — Syktyvkar);

      June 8 from 05:00 to 13:00 — on the R-243 highway (Kostroma — Perm), where a reversible traffic flow will be organized.

      The schedule is approximate — everything depends on the actual speed of the pilgrimage procession, the Kirov region government reported.

      Regarding rare plants

      At a press conference on May 28, journalists asked about the protection of rare plants in the areas where pilgrims stop. The government clarified: there are no rare plants in the meadows where the pilgrims are located. In the forest, they found the Siberian Anemone — it was included in the old edition of the Red Book but is not included in the new one.

      Recall that we previously reported that several streets in Kirov will also be closed due to the pilgrimage procession and public transport routes will be changed.
