The "Energy Night" has taken place at the popular venue of VyatGU among the residents of Kirov.
Last Friday, the "Engineering" building of VyatSU, a popular venue for urban events, hosted "Energy Night" - a traditional and eagerly anticipated event. Among the organizers, besides the largest university in the region, were the companies "Kirovenergo" and "Gorelktrosset," as well as the Kirov branches of JSC "Energosbyt Plus" and PJSC "T Plus."
Recently, energy specialists have indeed been setting trends - this can be observed from the increased interest in their projects, particularly the annual celebration of science, practice, bold initiatives, and brilliant prospects.
This time, "Energy Night" once again became a hub of diverse activities: lectures and quests, meetings with leaders of energy companies and teachers from Vyatka State University as a key supplier of personnel for the industry, and numerous master classes. Most of them were organized by students and staff of the electrical engineering faculty of VyatSU. Anyone interested could try their hand at lighting management and drone operation, as well as assembly work. Students of different ages were also attracted to the master class "Design, Solder, Turn On." First, the kids were told about additive technologies, their programs, and possibilities, and as a specific example, each participant was presented with a cute owl created using a 3D printer. Then, also under the guidance of VyatSU energy specialists, the product was refined, turning into an original mini-lamp. Meanwhile, the students reinforced their knowledge of circuit design and mastered soldering technology.
The projects of first-year students from the ETF were enthusiastically received, presented at a large exhibition in the assembly hall. Among the exhibits were a self-guiding fan, a multifunctional water quality tester, an automatic feeder, an LED cube, a chameleon lamp, a toy for a cat, and much more. Importantly, visitors were able to communicate directly with the project authors, ask questions, and check the devices in action.
Third-grader Mikhail Fominykh from the Natural Sciences Lyceum shared:
"I have been to 'Energy Night' before. I came here again because I really like it. There are interesting master classes. I also participated in them.
If you missed 'Energy Night' this year, come next time. It's not boring at all."
Kirov resident Galina Pavlova is the mother of three sons. She attended "Energy Night" with her eldest, a sixth-grader. Galina, a graduate of VyatSU herself, says:
"My son is interested in engineering, so we come here for the second year.
There is a very good program here, engaging master classes. Time is spent very productively."
This is no exaggeration. Participants of all ages discover something new and are charged with a great mood.
For children, career orientation turns into an exciting process. "Energy Night" actually solves an important task - through understandable, lively communication with professionals, using vivid examples to attract the younger generation to an industry that is strategically important for the dynamic development of the region and ensuring the technological sovereignty of the country.
And the fact that energy specialists are talented people in all directions was confirmed by the spectacular finale of the celebration. Participants lit up under the performance of a musical group that played pop and rock hits from past years and the present.
