In the Kirov region, the investigation into the criminal case against a previously convicted resident of the Mari El Republic has been completed. He is accused under two articles - for drunk driving and for using violence against a representative of the authorities.
According to the investigation, the incident occurred on the evening of March 20 in the village of Verkhipizhemye in the Soviet district. Traffic police officers stopped a car driven by a man showing signs of alcohol intoxication. It turned out that he had previously been charged with a similar violation.
When the inspectors demanded that he get into the patrol car for clarification, the driver refused to comply with the legal requirements and struck one of the traffic police officers on the head.
Despite the fact that the accused did not admit guilt, investigators gathered sufficient evidence. The criminal case has been sent to court, where it will be considered on the merits.
