An individual entrepreneur from the Oryol region will be held accountable for the death of an employee.

      The death of the worker occurred as a result of a sudden deterioration in health — this conclusion was made by the State Labor Inspection. The incident itself was classified as not related to production. It would seem that this simplifies the situation for the employer. But not in this case.

      During the investigation, it was revealed that individual entrepreneur Shalaginov A.A. did not fulfill the legal requirement for a daily notification to the labor inspection about the incident. This violation itself entails administrative consequences.

      However, the inspection also uncovered other shortcomings in the entrepreneur's activities. The deceased worker, like the employer himself, had not undergone training in labor protection. In addition, a special assessment of working conditions had not been conducted at the employee's workplace.

      Deputy Head of the State Labor Inspection Alexey Loginov explained: according to the issued order, the employer is required to undergo training in labor protection and also to conduct a special assessment of working conditions. The issue of holding him administratively liable will also be considered.
