The graves at the Novomakaryevsky cemetery are still underwater.
Let us remind you that the day before, the city hall stated that the situation with flooding at the Novomakaryevskoye cemetery is under control: additional drainage pipes have been laid, existing ditches have been cleared, and the water level has allegedly begun to decrease. Officials also explained that the flooding is due to the influx of water from the Slobodsky district.
The funeral service added that predominantly dry and elevated areas not affected by the flood are provided for burials. Such issues are resolved with the residents of Kirov on an individual basis.
However, today, April 30, residents of Kirov are once again refuting the official picture. A city resident, who previously contacted Newsler.ru, claims that no changes have occurred in the problematic area 4/1.
According to her, the drainage channels are still clogged with debris, and the graves remain flooded.
— Yesterday, the media published information about the elimination of the flooding. But in fact, there are no changes; the graves remain as they were in water, — reports the Kirov resident.
She also notes that she has sent official inquiries, but has not received any responses so far. In the current situation, the woman sees "negligence and obvious deception," and also accuses officials of concealing the problem.
Let us remind you that residents have previously complained about the state of the cemetery: burials are conducted on overly saturated soil, ditches have not been cleaned for years, and massive structures near the graves, according to residents, obstruct the natural drainage of water.
