The Victory Train will arrive in Kirov on May 4.
The memorial "Victory Train" will once again arrive in the Kirov region (12+). It runs on the Gorky Railway as part of the celebration of the 81st anniversary of Victory in the Great Patriotic War.
At the head of the train are two steam locomotives of the L series, styled as armored trains from the war years. The train also features platforms with samples of military equipment, heated carriages with a field kitchen, and an exhibition dedicated to the everyday life during wartime.
The train departed from Nizhny Novgorod and will make stops at nearly 30 stations during its route. Concerts and ceremonial events are planned at each of them.
In the Kirov region, the "Victory Train" can be seen on:
May 2: Stalnaya (9:15), Shlakovaya (12:20), Kirs (14:50);
May 3: Yuryа (11:00), Murashi (13:25), Pinyug (17:05), Luza (19:35);
May 4: Kirov (13:15), Kotel'nich (17:00).
Artists and a brass band will perform at the stations. Everyone is welcome to visit the train and the events — admission is free.
