The new train station in Kirovo-Chepetsk turned out to be a modular structure with paid restrooms.

      Let us remind you that the authorities of Kirovo-Chepetsk announced the construction of a new bus station back in 2025. In mid-April 2026, they confirmed their plans. Recently, a competition was launched. However, judging by the information on the state procurement website, the residents will not wait for a full-fledged building.

      First of all, it should be noted that this will not be a capital structure, but merely a modular construction. It will be located on Zavodskaya Street. A total of 20.2 million rubles have been allocated from the regional and local budgets for this.

      The work is to be completed by August 31, 2026, inclusive. The warranty period will be 48 months. In addition to installing the modular structure, the contractor will need to build stairs, paving (around the building, on the boarding platform, and sidewalks), tidy up a section of the roadway and fencing, as well as improve the territory.

      As for the bus station itself, the "building" will be one-story, with a total area of about 77 square meters. It will consist of two modules.

      The station will have all necessary utilities, including a heating system. There will be 36 metal chairs for passengers. However, the information about plumbing was disappointing — three sinks and three toilets are planned (including one each for disabled individuals), but only people with limited mobility will be able to use the toilets for free. Others will have to pay for their needs at special terminals.
