47% of married men in Kirov are ready to go on paternity leave.
Analysts from SuperJob found that among employed married men in Kirov who are planning to have children, 28% are fully ready to take paternity leave instead of their wives if necessary. Another 19% are somewhat agreeable to such a step. Thus, the total share of those potentially ready for "paternity leave" is 47%.
At the same time, 32% of respondents are categorically against taking care of a newborn instead of their wives, while 21% are rather not ready for such a development. As a result, the number of negatively inclined Kirov residents turned out to be even higher — 53%.
Interestingly, in practice, men take paternity leave significantly less often than they declare their readiness. According to a survey of employer representatives, only 15% of companies in Kirov recorded cases in the past year where paternity leave was taken by the father.
