In November–December 2025, an inmate at the correctional colony in the Kirovo-Chepetsk District showed prohibited tattoos bearing extremist symbols to outsiders. He had previously been held administratively liable for a similar violation. Officers of the Anti‑Extremism Center of the Ministry of Internal Affairs and of the Federal Penitentiary Service for the Kirov Region recorded the offense and forwarded the materials to the investigators. A criminal case has been opened under Part 1 of Article 282.4 of the Russian Criminal Code — public demonstration of the symbols of an extremist organization by a person already punished for a similar violation. Measures are currently being carried out to establish all the circumstances of the case and to collect evidence.
