The Bank of Russia will issue new investment coins featuring Saint George the Victorious.
The Bank of Russia has issued two new investment coins featuring Saint George the Victorious:
a silver coin — 3 rubles, weight of pure metal 31.1 grams, diameter 39 mm;
a gold coin — 50 rubles, weight of pure metal 7.78 grams, diameter 22.6 mm.
On the obverse of the coins is depicted the State Emblem of Russia, and the denomination, year of issue, metal fineness and the mint’s mark are indicated. On the reverse is a relief image of Saint George the Victorious on horseback spearing a dragon.
The edge of the coins is reeded, the quality of manufacture is “uncirculated.” The mintage of each coin will be up to one million pieces. The coins are legal tender in Russia and are accepted at face value in all types of transactions. This was reported by the press service of the Bank of Russia.
