The rules for supporting agricultural producers in Kirov Oblast have been changed.

      Today deputies of the Legislative Assembly considered a draft law amending the law “On conferring certain regional state powers to the local self-government bodies of the municipal formations of Kirov Oblast for the support of agricultural production.” It was proposed to adopt it in two readings.

      The original law states that the local self-government bodies of the municipal formations are vested with powers to support agricultural producers. For example, they can reimburse part of the costs of purchasing machinery and equipment. Targeted funds from the regional budget are allocated for this purpose.

      However, previously only production indicators were taken into account when allocating funds, not how much agricultural producers spend on machinery and equipment. The new draft law proposes to correct this. In that case, more money will go to those municipalities where agricultural production is being modernized most actively.

      The deputies of the Legislative Assembly supported the initiative. The draft law was adopted in two readings.
