In Kirov Oblast, a company owes employees more than 16 million rubles.

      The Podosinovsky District Prosecutor's Office uncovered large wage arrears at the local timber-processing plant. As the inspectors found, between June and August 2025 the enterprise failed to pay wages owed to 178 employees. The total debt exceeded 16 million rubles.

      Following the inspection, the head of the organization was held administratively liable under Part 6 of Article 5.27 of the Code of Administrative Offences of the Russian Federation — he was fined for violating labor legislation. In addition, the prosecutor's office forwarded the materials to the investigative authorities, which after review opened a criminal case under Part 2 of Article 145.1 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation — non-payment of wages for more than two months.

      At present, investigators of the Investigative Committee of Russia are establishing all the circumstances of the incident and are collecting and securing the evidentiary base. In addition, the investigation is working to reimburse the victims for unpaid wages and other payments required by law.

      The course of the investigation and the situation regarding the restoration of the workers' rights remain under the control of the prosecutor's office.
