In Kirov, a butter plant was punished for producing products "out of thin air."

On November 17, 2025, the Rosselkhoznadzor Office for the Kirov Region conducted an inspection of JSC "Sanchursky Butter Plant," the agency's press service reports.

During the inspection it was found that in September this year the plant produced 8.5 tonnes of various dairy products, including milk, sour cream, cottage cheese, butter and yogurts. However, only 4.3 tonnes of raw milk were used to produce them, which does not comply with the necessary standards.

According to the inspectors' calculations, such an amount of raw material with the specified fat content is simply insufficient to produce the declared volume of finished products. This creates problems with traceability of the raw materials and verification of the products' safety. Meanwhile, the entire produced batch has already been sent to stores in the Kirov Region and Mari El, as well as to local schools, kindergartens and hospitals.

The identified discrepancies violate veterinary regulations and the Russian Federation's laws on veterinary medicine and food safety. In this connection, the plant was issued a warning about the inadmissibility of further violations of the law.
