An environmental quiz game called "Zero Waste" was held at the Eco-center.
The event took place as part of the All‑Russian scientific and practical forum “Utilization of production and consumption waste: innovative approaches and technologies” and brought together students from six cities — Kirov, Nizhny Novgorod, Izhevsk, Saratov, Irkutsk and Kurgan.
Before the game began, the head of the EcoCenter, Sergey Voronin, addressed the participants, noting that the venue is becoming a place where new environmental initiatives emerge.
The teams presented projects for the “ecological reboot” of the fictional town of Korenevsk‑na‑Nefti and answered questions from the audience. Then the participants took a quiz on the circular economy and continued working on case studies. At the end of the game, the jury singled out teams, noting their creativity and level of preparation.
After the competitions, students were given a tour of the EcoCenter. Participants were shown the sorting classroom and the new equipment of the “Recycling Workshop” — including a bike shredder and PETbot — and were briefed on projects and environmental education methods. Many guests asked questions and expressed interest in creating similar spaces in their regions.
Organizers note that such events help develop environmental thinking and support the goals of the national project “Environmental Well‑being.”
