Sokolov reprimanded the Department of Education over School No. 73.
Today Governor Alexander Sokolov addressed the issue of School No. 73 in Lyangasovo, which requires repairs. He asked the head of Kirov’s administration, Vyacheslav Simakov, to explain what is happening there.
Simakov noted that the children from School No. 73 are being transferred to other educational institutions, not only to other schools but also to kindergartens. For those located far away, the children will be transported by buses. An inspection of School No. 73 is currently underway, and design and cost-estimate documentation is being prepared; it is planned to be finished by December. Work is expected to be completed by the end of January 2026.
Sokolov sharply criticized both the administration and the education department: “How did it happen that after the first term, after the summer, such a situation arose? Is this a sign of unprofessionalism or of heartlessness... They have shown themselves, I believe, in full. You still have not been able to produce the design and estimate documentation! You simply overlooked the situation! I ask you, Vyacheslav Nikolaevich, to organize an internal inquiry and understand how this came about. I did not expect this from you.”
The governor also asked the Ministry of Education to take the situation under its control and to examine in detail where, from a management standpoint, the breakdown occurred.
