Bailiffs found an imported car hidden by the debtor and will hand it over to the Ministry of Defense.
Court bailiffs in the Kirov Region discovered and seized a Kia Sorento subject to confiscation as an instrument of a crime under Part 1 of Article 264.1 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (operating a vehicle while intoxicated by a person who has been subject to administrative punishment or who has a prior conviction). The car had been left with its owner, M., for safekeeping during the investigation, but after the sentence came into force the man refused to hand over the vehicle voluntarily and concealed its whereabouts for a long time. Because of the debtor's evasion, the car was declared wanted. During enforcement and search operations the Kia Sorento was found in a suburb of Kirov. The car was seized from the convicted man and taken to a specialized impound lot. The vehicle will be handed over to the Ministry of Defence of the Russian Federation in the near future for the needs of the special military operation. The agency noted that the court's sentence was enforced thanks to the decisive actions of the bailiffs who were carrying out the search for the debtor's property.
