A repeat offender who attacked teenagers with a knife has been arrested in the Verkhnekamsky District.

According to investigators, the incident occurred on the evening of October 22 near the House of Culture building on Dzerzhinsky Street. The man approached two 13-year-old teenagers, grabbed the girl by the neck and pressed an object resembling a knife to her. He then demanded money from the children, threatening violence. The frightened boy handed the assailant 1,000 rubles, after which the man fled. The suspect, who had multiple prior convictions, had been released from a place of detention in October 2025 just a few days before the attack. At the investigators’ request, the court ordered that the man be remanded in custody. Investigators continue to probe the criminal case opened under Part 2 of Article 162 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (“Robbery committed with the use of an object used as a weapon”). As part of the investigation, the work of agencies in the recidivism-prevention system will also be evaluated.
