Authorities want to renovate the bridge over the Chumovitsa before the tunnel is completed.
Preparations have begun in Kirov for the reconstruction of the bridge over the Chumovitsa River. The work is planned to be completed before the opening of the tunnel under the Trans-Siberian mainline, the administration said.
The project will provide for widening the bridge to four lanes, as well as the installation of sidewalks and bicycle paths on both sides. The contractor is currently coordinating all the details with the utility services, as important communications run near the bridge.
The longitudinal profile of the bridge has already been agreed with the Department of Capital Construction and the Directorate of Improvement. The contract for the design documentation was signed in September, and its development is scheduled to be completed by December 25 next year.
