
The incidence of acute respiratory viral infections has decreased in the Kirov region.
According to the Rospotrebnadzor office for the Kirov Region, as of the 42nd week of 2025 the region recorded a 0.54% decrease in the incidence of acute respiratory viral infections compared with the previous week. The epidemiological threshold for the overall population has not been exceeded.
Specialists note that the level of incidence is within seasonal norms. The viruses circulating in the region are not influenza-related.
Meanwhile, the region's influenza vaccination campaign continues. To date, more than 294,000 residents of the Kirov Region have been vaccinated, including over 109,000 children.
Rospotrebnadzor reminds that vaccination remains the most reliable way to protect against severe influenza and its complications. Vaccination is especially recommended for children, the elderly, pregnant women and patients with chronic diseases of the cardiovascular, respiratory and endocrine systems.
