In Kirov, a man and a woman were convicted of selling synthetic drugs online.
Court proceedings have concluded in Kirov in a case of illegal drug trafficking. According to the prosecutor's office of the Kirov region, a 32-year-old resident of the city and his 34-year-old acquaintance, in February 2025 and by prior agreement, were engaged in the distribution of synthetic narcotics.
The distribution of the prohibited substances was carried out remotely — using the Internet. When law enforcement intervened to stop their activities, officers seized more than 17 grams of drugs prepared for sale.
The court found both guilty under several articles of the Russian Criminal Code, including illegal acquisition and attempted sale of narcotic drugs in significant and large amounts.
Taking into account that the man had previously been convicted of theft and robbery, he was sentenced to 8.5 years' imprisonment in a maximum-security penal colony. His accomplice was sentenced to 7 years' imprisonment in a general-regime penal colony.
Both convicts will be transferred to the facilities where they will serve their sentences. The communication devices used in the commission of the crimes have been confiscated.
