Kirov resident killed a friend during a drinking binge.

      On July 3 of this year, a 33-year-old resident of Kirov and his 51-year-old acquaintance were drinking alcohol in one of the houses on Severo-Sadovaya Street. During the gathering a conflict broke out between them, which escalated into a fight. The 33-year-old assailant struck his friend multiple times with his hands and feet to the head, torso and limbs. The victim died at the scene from the sustained injuries.

      A criminal case was opened against the Kirov resident. He is accused of committing an offense under part 4 of Article 111 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (intentional infliction of grievous bodily harm which negligently resulted in the victim’s death). During the investigation a preventive measure in the form of detention was imposed on the accused. It remains in effect at present.

      At the same time, the criminal investigation has been completed. The investigator collected exhaustive evidence incriminating the suspect in the commission of the offense with which he is charged. The case has been referred to the court for substantive consideration.
