The second map illustrates the precipitation forecast. Kirov Oblast shows a noticeable moisture deficit; yellow shades indicate a dry month. The reason will be the predominance of anticyclonic weather. This means little rainfall and predominantly clear skies.
Atmospheric processes
The third panel shows the distribution of 500 hPa heights (geopotential levels). The white and light-brown area over Kirov Oblast indicates the dominance of high pressure. This supports the anticyclone scenario, which will inhibit frequent cyclones and prolonged rain.
Thus, October in Kirov Oblast, according to the CFS, is expected to be warmer than normal and significantly drier than usual.
