Rakhim Azimov: Support for the older generation is a priority for all levels of government
On behalf of State Duma deputy Rakhim Azimov, letters of appreciation were presented to veterans for their great personal contribution to the development of the veterans' movement and their active civic stance.
In his congratulatory words, Rakhim Azimov noted that throughout his time in office he has always paid special attention to the advice, requests and initiatives of representatives of the older generation.
Each year veterans' organizations and the deputy jointly carry out a number of significant projects: a Victory Day amateur creative contest "Let Us Bow to Those Great Years", the photo contest "The Image of My Homeland", the Spartakiad "O Sport! You Are Joy!", and a project to develop domestic tourism and preserve the region's attractions "7 Wonders of My District".
This year veterans, together with Rakhim Azimov, are implementing two large-scale projects. In the year of the 80th anniversary of the Great Victory, the project "Poems Read by Veterans" took place. Work is currently underway in the region on the project "Masters of the Vyatka Region", aimed at preserving cultural and historical heritage and passing it on to the younger generation, as well as developing folk crafts. Activists also take part in Rakhim Azimov's grant competition "Silver Constellation".
In addition, the deputy provides targeted assistance: he helps with repairs of district veterans' organizations' premises, the purchase of equipment and office machinery, and with organizing and holding events.
In his congratulation Rakhim Azimov emphasized:
"Your life and work experience is in demand today. You actively participate in public life, contribute to the upbringing of young people, and support participants in the special military operation. This is an example of civic responsibility and compassion. Support for the older generation is a priority for all levels of government. It is important that you always feel care and attention.
