A Kirov resident robbed a store on Surikov Street.

      Recently the police were notified of a nighttime theft from a shop located in a temporary kiosk on Surikov Street. The perpetrator entered the premises through a broken door and stole 8,000 rubles from the cash register.

      An investigator of the Investigative Department of the Russian Interior Ministry (MVD) for the city of Kirov opened a criminal case on signs of an offense provided for by Part 2 of Article 158 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (theft committed by unlawful entry into premises).

      Officers from the criminal investigation department of the MVD for the city of Kirov were able to identify and detain the suspect. He turned out to be a city resident born in 1995 who had a prior conviction for theft. Police found that the man was intoxicated at the time of the offense. He spent the stolen money on personal expenses. The criminal investigation is ongoing.
