The prosecutor's office helped lift banking restrictions on the account of a participant in the special military operation.

The Prosecutor’s Office of the Kirov Region conducted an inquiry following a complaint from a participant in the special military operation. It emerged that even before he signed a contract with the Ministry of Defense, bankruptcy proceedings had been initiated against the man. As a result, the credit institution imposed restrictions on the disposal of funds in his accounts. However, the payroll account into which the service member’s monetary allowance was paid was also blocked. These funds were used by his wife to support their three minor children. Based on the results of the inquiry, the prosecutor’s office forwarded the information to the Moscow Prosecutor’s Office and made a representation to the bank’s management. After intervention, the restrictions were lifted. In addition, the supervisory authority submitted a representation to the self-regulatory organization of bankruptcy trustees, and the financial manager was held administratively liable for unlawful actions during the bankruptcy (Article 14.13 of the Code of Administrative Offences of the Russian Federation). He was fined 25,000 rubles. According to the prosecutor’s office, thanks to the measures taken, the property rights of the service member’s family have been restored.
