The Prosecutor's Office of the Yuryansky District of the Kirov Region has identified violations in the field of forest protection and conservation.

During an on-site inspection it was found that illegal tree felling had occurred on the territory of the Gorokhovskoye rural forestry. The damage to the region's forest fund exceeded 200,000 rubles.
The inspection materials have been forwarded to investigative authorities. On this basis, a criminal case has been opened under Part 2 of Article 260 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (Illegal felling of forest plantations). The investigation is ongoing and is under the supervision of the prosecutor's office.
