Residents of Kirov and the entire country were warned about a large-scale check of alert systems that will take place on Wednesday, October 1. On that day, electric sirens and loudspeakers will be activated in the city and the region, and TV and radio channels will temporarily replace their broadcasts with test messages from the Ministry of Emergency Situations.
The agency stresses: there is no need to panic when you hear the sirens. It is sufficient to turn on any public TV channel or radio station and listen to the informational message.
Such checks are carried out regularly to ensure the equipment is working and that emergency services are ready to respond in case of an emergency. The last test run was conducted this spring.
