It was recently reported that in an apartment building on Zakhvataev Street in Kirov the attic ceiling collapsed in one apartment. In another, a plaster ceiling covering fell on an elderly man.
The building, constructed in 1956, was declared uninhabitable as early as 2021, yet its resettlement is not scheduled until 2029. Residents tried to complain to the management company, but to no avail.
A criminal case has been opened by the Investigative Department of the Investigative Committee of Russia for the Kirov Region. Meanwhile, the Chairman of the Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation, Alexander Bastrykin, requested a report from the acting head of the Investigative Department for the Kirov Region, Maxim Kozlov, on the progress and findings of the investigation. The Investigative Committee has taken the situation under its control.
