Vaccination of wild animals against rabies continues in Kirov Oblast. The region has received 500,000 doses of the vaccine "Rabistav", which are being distributed in the form of bait briquettes.
From September 22 to October 10, veterinarians together with gamekeepers and hunters are manually placing the baits near burrows and animal trails. The work is being carried out across 23 districts, 11 okrugs and five urban districts of the region. After consuming the bait, animals will develop immunity that will last for one year.
