VyatGU has launched the educational campaign "Share Your Knowledge."

The speaker was the First Deputy Chairman of the Government of the Kirov Region, Alexey Zherdev, who devoted his meeting with students of the Polytechnic Institute and the Institute of Humanities and Social Sciences of VyatGU to current issues of modern construction and its transformative role in shaping the city’s appearance.

“The biggest challenge for the Kirov Region is demography. Modern construction projects make the region more comfortable, sustainable and attractive for living and investment. It is you, future engineers, architects and designers, who will have to create conditions in which as many people as possible will want to stay in their native land,” Alexey Zherdev told the students. Alexey Alexandrovich outlined in detail the key areas formed by builders: from housing construction to transport and social infrastructure. He spoke about current and planned projects aimed at developing the region and renovating city districts.

The lecturer paid particular attention to environmental issues, in particular the reclamation of landfills:

“To address the issue of waste removal in the Kirov Region, a large waste-sorting complex — the ‘Central’ KPO — is being built, as well as a number of smaller sorting enterprises in the region’s districts.” The First Deputy Chairman of the Government of the Kirov Region stressed the importance of interaction with students to understand their aspirations and create an environment that meets their interests:

“Each of you, dear students, is the future of our region and the country. Do not miss opportunities to undertake internships; improve your qualifications, because in construction, as in any other field of training, theory is inextricably linked with practice. Once you have acquired the necessary competencies, you will become sought-after and well-paid specialists confident in your abilities.”

Students asked many questions of the speaker, showing particular interest in the formation of a unified architectural style for the city, the preservation of historical heritage, plans to build a world-class campus on the site of the former KVATU, as well as projects in which students, future professionals, could participate.

At the end of the meeting, VyatGU Rector Valentin Pugach expressed his gratitude to Alexey Zherdev for the substantive lecture, emphasizing its importance for students in relevant fields.
