In Kirov Oblast, a convict who had been on the run for four years was detained.

      In Kirov, officers of the Federal Penitentiary Service detained a man who had been wanted since 2021. He had been convicted in Arkhangelsk Oblast of extortion under Part 3 of Article 163 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation and was to serve seven years in a maximum-security penal colony, but he did not appear for the pronouncement of the sentence. To avoid capture by law enforcement, the fugitive did not use a passport and gave a false name. All this time he lived in the town of Slobodskoy, started a family there and worked off the books. The arrest took place as part of the "Rozysk" operation. Now the man will be sent to a correctional colony to serve the imposed sentence, the press service of the Federal Penitentiary Service of Russia for the Kirov Region reported.
