
One in two residents of Kirov has quit their job due to workplace burnout.
According to the survey results, emotional burnout is familiar to most city residents — 62% of economically active respondents have experienced it. Only a third of survey participants (32%) said they had not experienced such a condition. Women turned out to be slightly more prone to burnout than men (64% vs. 61%). The problem also more often affects older people: 56% of respondents under 35 reported burnout, compared with 68% of respondents older than 45. In addition, there are more such cases among people with higher education — 66% compared with 53% among those with secondary vocational education.
Emotional exhaustion often becomes a reason for leaving a job. Almost every second resident of Kirov (49%) who experienced burnout eventually quit. Women did so more often than men (53% vs. 46%), and the most decisive were employees over 35 years old and those whose salaries do not exceed 100,000 rubles.
Most workers do not turn to management for help — only 24% of respondents do so, while 70% prefer to cope on their own. Even among those who tried to resolve the issue through management, only 22% reported a positive result, whereas 64% said they did not receive support.
