Russian President Vladimir Putin has instructed that preparations for the Direct Line be started, RIA Novosti reports. At a videoconference meeting with members of the government the president noted that "given the relevance of this project I ask both the Administration and my colleagues from the Government of the Russian Federation to carry out preparations for the next Direct Line."
It should be noted that in early September of this year the president's press secretary Dmitry Peskov confirmed that the Direct Line with Vladimir Putin will take place this year and will be held before the end of the current year.
Last year the Direct Line took place on December 19 and lasted 4 hours and 27 minutes. At that time the president received about 2 million questions, the majority of which concerned the progress of the special operation, support for the front and the families of servicemen.
