Professor at VyatGU Tamara Ashikhmina has been awarded the medal of the Order "For Merit to the Fatherland".
A Decree of the President of the Russian Federation No. 659 of September 17, 2025, “On awarding state awards of the Russian Federation,” has been published.
Chief Research Fellow of the Research Laboratory of Biomonitoring at Vyatka State University and the Institute of Biology of the Komi Scientific Center of the Ural Branch of the Russian Academy of Sciences, professor, Doctor of Technical Sciences Tamara Yakovlevna Ashikhmina has been awarded a high state honor – the Medal of the Order “For Merit to the Fatherland,” II class.
Tamara Ashikhmina’s research activities are linked to the consideration of theoretical and applied problems in chemistry, ecology, geoecology and the Earth sciences. Tamara Yakovlevna makes a significant contribution to the training of highly qualified personnel: candidates and doctors of sciences.
Tamara Ashikhmina is the author of 740 scientific publications, 16 textbooks and instructional-methodological manuals, and 4 patents.
Tamara Yakovlevna plays a major role in the public life of the region. For many years she has been a member of the Public Chamber of the Kirov Region; she is the chair of the Commission on Ecology and Natural Resource Use and a member of the Commission on Education, Science, Culture and Youth Affairs.
We wholeheartedly congratulate Tamara Yakovlevna and wish her many more years of fruitful activity!
A festival was held at Vyatka State University dedicated to the 90th anniversary of the birth of Albert Likhanov and the 80th anniversary of the Victory in the Great Patriotic War.
