An accident involving an underage driver occurred in the settlement of Bor in the Afanasyevsky District on the evening of September 5. According to the traffic police, the teenager, driving a UAZ Patriot, drove off the road and overturned.
The driver and passengers were injured; one underage passenger was killed.
The Prosecutor's Office of the Kirov Region has opened an inquiry to establish the causes of the tragedy and to find out how the teenager gained access to the vehicle. The oversight agency will also assess the work of preventive bodies and whether the parents fulfilled their responsibilities in raising their children.
