A total of 329 people visited the Verkhnekamsky Central District Hospital for cancer screening. One hundred fifty-four ultrasound examinations were performed, 52 female patients underwent mammography, and 12 biopsies were taken. Thirty-two visitors suspected of having cancer will be referred for further examination. Doctors from the Kirov Clinical Dental Center examined over 60 patients and identified 9 benign neoplasms and 2 cases of leukoplakia. Also during the day, specialists from the Health Center conducted cardiac monitoring using a cardiovisor, spirometry, blood glucose and cholesterol measurements, and a psychological test.
Verkhnekamsky is the fifth district visited by the multidisciplinary team of doctors as part of the campaign since the beginning of 2025. Previously, specialists visited Luzsky, Omutninsky, Sovetsky, and Vyatskopolyansky districts. About 2,000 people were examined, of whom 193 were suspected of having cancer.
This year, the medical team is scheduled to visit three more districts. In October the ONKOpost campaign will continue in Shabalinsky District.
