According to the Kirov branch of the Gorky Railway, from January to August of this year Lastochka trains carried 122,500 people on the Kirov — Nizhny Novgorod route and back.
The most intensive traffic from cities of the Volga Region on the Lastochkas is observed on the Nizhny Novgorod — Moscow route: since the beginning of the year 2.5 million passengers have used the high-speed trains. Another popular direction is Nizhny Novgorod — Ivanovo. On this route, 67,700 people were carried by Lastochka trains over the eight months of the current year.
Altogether, 2.7 million people were transported by Lastochka trains on services involving the capital of the Volga Region.
