Barrels of chemical waste in Komintern still haven't been removed.

      In the Komintern microdistrict on Iskra Street, barrels of chemical waste have still not been removed. Specialists did not record any breach of the containers' seals; however, a potential threat to environmental safety remains.

      The Arbitration Court of Kirov Oblast ordered the landowner in December 2023 to clear the site of the waste. The order was not carried out voluntarily, and the enforcement proceedings initiated by the bailiff service have so far produced no results.

      The Ministry of Environmental Protection believes the owner is unlikely to arrange removal on their own, and that recovering the costs later may prove difficult. The agency proposes that the Kirov administration exercise its authority and commission a specialized company to carry out the work, with the costs to be subsequently imposed on the responsible party through the courts. The situation is being monitored by the ministry.
