A Kirov resident lost more than 100,000 after believing in a policy replacement.

Recently a resident of Kirov received a call from a woman who introduced herself as a polyclinic employee. She said his medical insurance policy needed to be replaced and asked him to provide personal details, which the young man did.

Later, people who identified themselves as employees of the Gosuslugi portal and the Central Bank contacted him. They said that criminals had taken out a loan in his name and suggested transferring his savings to a "safe account." As a result, the Kirov resident transferred 13,000 rubles to the fraudsters.

After that, he was offered to "secure" his parents' funds as well. Following their instructions, he used his mother's phone and transferred nearly 94,000 rubles from her account.

He then received a message in which one of the scammers admitted to stealing his money. Only then did he contact the police. A criminal case was opened on suspicion of fraud.
