"Shagomay" from Khlynov Bank: how simple steps helped raise funds for children's exercise equipment
The "Shagomay" project is a team competition for employees of Bank Khlynov, held under the slogan "Stepping for health and for a good cause." Every 500 steps taken by a team are equivalent to 1 ruble in the project's collective charity fund. Thanks to this, in 2024 children from CPD "Nadezhda" received bicycles, scooters and sports equipment. The project itself received a diploma from the National Banking Award in the "Social Project" category and inspired other companies at the "Good on Vyatka" forum.
In 2025, "Shagomay" became a genuine movement of goodwill: residents of Kirov and Izhevsk joined the bank's employees. Over two weeks participants took 53,507,533 steps (38,251 kilometers) — almost a trip around the world! Perseverance, teamwork and the drive to improve their results made it possible to raise enough funds to purchase and install exercise machines for the children of CPD "Nadezhda."
"We all know that our children's health is in our hands. We are very grateful to Bank Khlynov for their cooperation and for helping our children. Thank you all very much! And we urge everyone to stay healthy and active," commented Marina Georgievna Dulova, senior educator at CPD "Nadezhda."
