Oleg Valenchuk's Road Program: Repair on Soviet Tract Completed

Together with summer, we crossed the equator and the active road grading work towards gardening cooperatives began. Thanks to the Road Program of the Union of Gardeners of Russia, initiated by State Duma Deputy Oleg Valenchuk, Kirov gardeners have been receiving tangible support for over ten years — and every year its scale only increases.

This year, the program started especially early — the first works began in May. And the result is already visible: more than 150 kilometers of dirt roads in the Kirovo-Chepetsky district and on the Novovyatsky route have become smoother and more convenient for thousands of gardeners.

But the work does not stop there. Just in the past week, another 100 km of roads along the Soviet Tract leading to about fifty cooperatives have been repaired. Now the trip to the dacha will be more comfortable, and summer rest — even more enjoyable.

      – We have been participating in the program for several years and can already see the difference — how the road changes after grading, – says Tatiana Pereskokova, Chairperson of the "Cheremushki" SNT. – We share a road with the "Urozhay 4" SNT. In total, there are 500 plots. And all gardeners are satisfied — the work is done conscientiously, not just for show. Thanks very much to the Union of Gardeners for such support.

Recently, heavy machinery of the Union of Gardeners moved to the Pobedilovsky Trakt. Work has begun at the "Malinka" and "Kolosok" SNTs. The grader was eagerly awaited here. The gardening season started back in May. Some have moved to the garden permanently, others, despite the whims of nature, continue to visit their plots daily and care for their plantings. During the cold and rainy June, potholes and ruts appeared on the roads. Therefore, the help arrived just in time.

      – Almost every second family today has a land plot, – noted Oleg Valenchuk. – Some gardeners come here on weekends, others are relocating to the countryside for the entire summer. However, active life is only observed in those gardening cooperatives that are easily accessible, where it’s convenient to deliver planting material and take out the harvest. Good roads are the key to the development and prosperity of SNTs. That is why the Union of Gardeners of Russia considers its primary task to assist people who want and are able to work the land. Our road program is aimed at this.

This season, the Union of Gardeners plans to repair more than 500 km of dirt roads leading to SNTs in the Kirov region. Work is in full swing — soon even more dirt roads will have a new look!
