Kirov residents believe that more money will have to be spent to replace them.
14% of Kirov residents believe that in the event of layoffs, a more expensive specialist will take their place. Of these, 10% think that the employer will have to slightly increase the salary of the new employee, and another 4% believe it will be significantly higher. "No one will agree to work for such a low salary anymore," explain respondents. Some add that companies often do not increase the salaries of existing employees but offer better conditions to new hires, especially if it is difficult to find a replacement. Most often, this position is held by those whose income exceeds 100,000 rubles.
55% are convinced that the replacement will be offered the same amount: "The staff schedule cannot be changed just like that," comment participants. Another 20% believe that the employer will try to save money; according to 16% of respondents, the salary of the new specialist will be slightly lower, and 4% expect a significant decrease. Among the reasons are the need for certification of the newcomer and the belief that "high salaries are only for insiders."
Interestingly, those most confident in a higher replacement cost are representatives of the IT sector: a quarter of programmers believe that the new employee will have to be paid more. They are joined by 20% of logisticians and analysts, as well as 17–21% of secretaries, administrators, marketers, system administrators, economists, and chief accountants.
Kirov region ranked 35th in the employment prospects rating in Russia. Every fifth Kirov resident regrets trusting their intuition when searching for a job. Every third Kirov resident wants to forget about work in the evenings.
